Task 1: Preliminary task

The 180 degree rule

The 180 degree rule is used when there are two or more characters in the same scene and there is like an imaginary line from one character to the other character and you can cut on one of those lines so if character 1 is on the left and character 2 is on the left because your mind does not understand it.
Crossing the line - the 180 degree rule in film and video production
We incorporated it when the actors Rhys with Lukas and Harry and that harry was on the left and rhys with Lukas was on the right when we cut the films.

Match on action

Match on action is when one character is giving something or there is an action being done and it switches the camera from a different angle and the action keeps going.
We incorporated this in our film when Lukas and Rhys are walking through the door and the camera switches from Lukas and Rhys are behind the camera and as they go through the door it switches to when they got through it showing their faces. Also, when Rhys pushes Lukas to Harry and the camera is looking at lukas and then it switches to the side angle looking behind Lukas.

The eye line match

The eye line match is when two characters are on the same height and they are looking at each other on the same level. We incorporated this when Rhys and Harry the actors are talking to each other and they are looking at each other on the same height.

Preliminary task

The film making process went in terms of the storyboard is when is that we did not use them as we thought of a better idea so we did not use the storyboards. It was harder doing this way as we did not know what shots  we needed but it worked out quite well.

The thing that I learned about video editing on adobe premiere is that you can put two or more different videos together seem like there is just one video so you do not get that affect when you are watching the video. Also, I learned that you can add titles and you can fade them in and out to make your movie better and make it more understandable. In terms of sound I used Incompetech and we used only one sound for the whole of our video and I learned that you can cut the music to suit your video. And you can turn of the sound on your video without getting rid of it, the sound can fade in and out as well to suit your video.
In terms of transition I learned that you can fade in and out a video to show pass of time in the video. Lastly, you can change the color of each video so if one scene is darker than the other one you can make it either lighter or darker so that all the videos fit in color wise rather than all the videos being different color and they will not match each other.
